Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra marketing image leak confirms design, key specs: S Pen, 4nm Exynos 2200 SoC

Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S22 series. The company will unveil the S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra at the Unpacked event. Samsung’s upcoming flagship models will be unveiled on February 9th. A lot of information about the devices leaked online ahead of the launch, especially about the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The latest leak comes from whistleblower Evan Blass (@EvLeaks on Twitter) who leaked the S22 Ultra’s marketing material. The images shared by Blass confirm the key features of Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will be the top model of the upcoming S22 series. The device should receive a major upgrade over the S21 Ultra. According to the leaked images, the phone will resemble the Samsung Note series in terms of design.

The phone has a curved screen on the front. It features a 6.8-inch 2x Dynamic AMOLED display with a hole-punch cutout at the top center. The screen has a QHD+ resolution and will support a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung’s top-of-the-line S22 series phone will also feature a vibrant display with 1750 nits of brightness and HDR10+ certification. The images show the phantom green color of the device. It will measure 163.3×77.9×8.9mm.

Under the hood, the S22 Ultra will have a 4nm Exynos 2200 SoC. Select regions will also get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC variant. The device is expected to come with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The phone also comes with a Samsung S Pen.

The device is rumored to have a 5,000 mAh battery. Marketing images confirm that the phone will support 45W fast charging. However, users will need to purchase a charging adapter separately as the device will not ship with a fast charger in the box.

There is a quad camera on the back of the phone. It features a 108-megapixel SuperClear lens with f/1.8 aperture. There is also a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The camera setup is rounded out by two 10MP telephoto lenses with 3x and 10x optical zoom. A 3x zoom lens has an f/2.4 aperture, while a 10x zoom lens has an f/4.9 aperture. For selfies, the phone has a 40MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture.
