First official images of Moto G 5G 2022, Motorola Edge 30 leaked: punch-hole display, triple rear cameras revealed
Motorola is preparing to release several new phones in the coming days. The brand is gearing up to launch several Moto G series phones as well as a pair of Moto Edge phones. We have previously seen the Moto G82 5G and Moto G62 5G devices on several certification sites, and we also noticed that the Motorola Edge 30 device has been seen in the NBTC certification and in the Geekbench database.
Now, a new report from 91mobiles has revealed a fresh set of images of the Moto G 5G (2022) device, and the publication has also released official renderings of the upcoming Motorola Edge 30. Let’s take a closer look at both phones.
Moto G 5G (2022) Official images
The Moto G 5G (2022) phone will feature a triple rear camera and dual LED flash. The back panel also has an M logo in the center. The front of the phone will be equipped with a camera with a hole in the center. The upcoming Moto G 5G is codenamed Austin and this device will feature a 6.53-inch 90Hz display with 720 x 1600 resolution.
The phone is said to have a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC under the hood with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The base model will ship with 64GB of storage. In terms of optics, the device will house a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the phone will be equipped with a 13-megapixel camera. Finally, the phone will come with a 5,000mAh battery and support for 15W fast charging.

On the other hand, the Edge 30 will be a mid-range phone. The phone has been spotted on Geekbench and every other database in the past and now we have our first look at the phone. The Moto Edge 30 comes with a triple rear camera on the back and a center hole camera on the front.
In terms of specs, the phone features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The report suggests that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset. However, the Geekbench listing suggests that the phone will ship with the Snapdragon 778G Plus SoC. The phone is said to come with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM paired with up to 256GB of internal storage. It will be powered by a 4020mAh battery and support 33W fast charging.
In terms of camera, the phone will feature a 50MP main camera, a 50MP wide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Edge 30 is said to come with a 32MP selfie camera on the front. The device is expected to be launched and shipped worldwide by the end of April.
