Motorola Edge S30 specs leak: 144Hz LCD screen and Snapdragon 888+ processor
Motorola is expected to launch a new smartphone in China dubbed the Motorola Edge S30. Recently, a Lenovo product manager confirmed that Motorola will release two new flagship smartphones, one of which will have an LCD screen. The now famous Digital Chat Station on Weibo has revealed some of the specs of the upcoming Motorola Edge S30.

According to the leaker, the Motorola Edge S30 will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus processor. It is an octa-core SoC with an ARM Cortex-X1 Prime core clocked at 3GHz, three Cortex A78 cores clocked at 2.42GHz, and four power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It is powered by Adreno 660 GPU.
In terms of visuals, the device will sport a 6.78-inch LCD screen with a 144Hz screen refresh rate. Inside, the phone will pack a 4,700mAh battery that is equipped with 33W fast charging. In terms of optics, the Motorola Edge S30 is reported to feature a 108 MP main camera similar to the Edge 20 series. Finally, the phone will weigh 202 grams and measure 8.8mm on the scale. If the leaks persist, the Moto Edge S30 will be one of the few flagship smartphones in 2021 with an LCD panel.
The Moto Edge S30 is likely to be the Chinese version of the Moto G200 (apart from battery and fast charging) already launched globally and expected to launch in India in the coming weeks. The Moto G200 comes with a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone has a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. In addition, it features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dedicated Google Assistant button, IP52 waterproof rating, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, 4G VoLTE. However, the phone does not have a microSD card slot or a 3.5mm headphone jack.
