Rumor has it that Oppo will launch the Reno 8 series soon. The company will soon release the Oppo Reno 8 Pro along with the vanilla model in China. Also in development may be Reno 8 SE. Oppo has yet to confirm official launch details for future Reno smartphones. The company is rumored to launch new Reno 8 series smartphones in May. Meanwhile, a new report has leaked the full specs of the upcoming Reno 8.

According to MyDrivers, citing WHYLAB, the Reno 8 will feature Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. The report also lists some key details of the upcoming Snapdragon processor. Let’s take a look at the specs, features and other details of the Oppo Reno 8 that have already been leaked.

Oppo Reno 8 specifications leaked

According to rumors, Oppo will launch the Reno 8 series in May 2022. Ahead of the launch, the technical specifications of the device were leaked online. A MyDrivers report reveals that the Reno 8 will be launched with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. The new Snapdragon 7 series platform will be based on a 4nm process. It will be an octa-core processor integrated with an Adreno 662 GPU.

Along with details about the processor, the report also reveals other specs of the phone. The Reno 8 will feature a 6.55-inch OLED display. It will come with 120Hz refresh rate support. The screen will have Full HD + resolution.

There will be a triple camera on the back. The Reno 8 camera will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera sensor. Alongside the main camera, there will be an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro sensor.

Under the cover will be a 4500 mAh battery. Oppo is upgrading fast charging capabilities from 65W to 80W on the Reno 8 series. For selfies, the phone is rumored to feature a 32MP front camera.

We can expect the Reno 8 series to launch with up to 12GB of RAM. The phones will also run Android 12 out of the box and have a ColorOS 12 layer on top.
