You can only complete campaign missions once in Halo Infinite, Microsoft confirms

Halo Infinite, the sixth game in the series, is due out on December 8th. And with that comes new details of the game. The latest report from Eurogamer revealed that the game will not allow players to complete missions more than once in the campaign mode.

The report claimed that this was confirmed by Microsoft and the company made a statement to Polygon about it. The move breaks a two-year tradition of Halo gaming that began with Halo: Combat Evolved. It is noteworthy that campaigns will appear in the game tomorrow.

Is it possible to replay the campaign? Not so much

A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed to Polygon that the story missions cannot be repeated. “Post-game does give you the option to continue exploring the wider environment, but for missions like the first two where you’re not already in the game, you can’t play from the same save file,”a spokesperson said. “You will be able to get any remaining FOBs, objectives, [and] audio recordings, but the main story missions will not be repeated.”

Halo Infinite Coming Tomorrow On Windows, Xbox One, Xbox X/S

Players can’t even replay story missions with different difficulty and skill modifiers enabled. When a mission is completed, when the player attempts to replay it, the game sends the player back to any unfinished objectives and a search for collectibles. Players must find missing collectibles and start the campaign over from the beginning instead of jumping to a completed campaign mission directly from the main menu.

Halo Infinite is missing the Co-op Campaign, Co-op Forge Campaign, and Forge Mode. At the moment, it is known that the cooperative campaign may appear no earlier than May 2022, that is, almost six months after the launch of the game. Forge mode may only appear at the end of next summer. Halo Infinite’s multiplayer mode has been in open beta since November 15, and will launch tomorrow on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S.
