The schedule of Steam sales for the first half of 2022 has become known
The Lunar New Year Stale is still on.
As is the case with most Steam sales, small promotions tend to focus on specific genres. For example, the “Die-a-lot”sale for roguelike games and the JRPG sale for games typically categorized as JRPGs.
In addition to the promotion dates, Valve also announced new changes to the discount policy. From March 28, 2022 Steam will reduce the required cooldown period between discounts on the platform to 28 days (4 weeks).
In essence, this means that only 28 days should elapse between the end of one discount and the start of the next. Thus, games can be discounted much more often than before.
So just in case you’re planning on purchasing certain types of games in the next few months, you can circle those dates on your calendar. The Summer Sale is usually one of the biggest sales on the Steam sale calendar and brings huge discounts on many games on the platform.
The Steam Lunar New Year Sale is still going on and includes a lot of great indie and AAA titles. Some of the sale highlights include discounts on Doom Eternal, Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, Rust, Sea of Thieves, and Hades.
