Vivo S12 to get 1100 SoC and 108MP camera ahead of launch: expected specs
On December 22, Vivo is holding an event in China. The company will introduce a range of products, including the new S12 series of smartphones. Vivo is expected to launch at least two new devices as part of the smartphone series. These include the S12 and S12 Pro. The company has been teasing some of the key specs while details have been leaked. The latest leak concerns the vanilla S12 smartphone. The device visited the China Telecom website, which disclosed the design, specifications and other important parameters. Here’s everything you need to know about the Vivo S12 ahead of launch.
Vivo S12 specifications
Specifications and design details of the Vivo S12 have been leaked online ahead of the official launch on December 22 in China. The device will debut alongside the S12 Pro. According to China Telecom’s listing (via GizmoChina), the phone will feature a 6.44-inch Full HD+ display. The device has a notched display and comes with an AMOLED panel. We can expect the phone to support a 90Hz refresh rate.
Behind is a rectangular camera module. It has a triple camera on the back. The phone has a 108MP main camera sensor, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, there is a dual front camera. The phone has a 44MP front camera and an 8MP ultra-wide front camera.
Under the hood of the device is a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC. It will have 8/12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. The phone will run Android 11 out of the box with Origin installed on it. It is possible that Vivo will release phones with Origin OS Ocean out of the box. The phone packs a 4200mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging. Other specs include an in-display fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, etc.
The phone will be released in three colors – black, blue and gold. According to the listing, the 8GB + 256GB storage variant of the device will be priced at RMB 2,999. The 12GB + 256GB variant will be launched at a price of 3399 yuan.
