All the new features in the March Pixel Feature Update

Google Pixel received new features in March. Always a nice update.

Google usually releases monthly feature updates on the first Monday of every month. Unfortunately, there was a delay for March. But that hasn’t stopped Google Pixel owners from learning all about the planned new features. Indeed, a list of these novelties has been leaked.

Google Pixel got new features in March

As 9to5Google reports, the changelog for this March Pixel Feature update is known, and while it’s not the most exciting update Mountain View has come up with, there are some very interesting changes.

First of all, the Pixel Watch offers fall detection. This is a very good option for a smart watch: if you fall, your watch will allow you to contact emergency services.

The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are also eligible for improved night vision. According to Google, the feature “can now give you even faster low-light photos”thanks to various improvements to the algorithms associated with the Google Tensor chip, which is a welcome addition for those who frequently take these kinds of shots. Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro owners have already enjoyed these improvements, but it’s good to see them appear on older devices.

Update is always welcome

Speaking of older devices, Pixel 4a or 5a users will now have access to the Direct My Call feature. This works when you are talking to an answering machine and displays various options on the screen that you should normally listen to. Instead of waiting for the robot to finish listing the given options, you can make your choice easier, visually.

Finally, Health Connect is now available as a native app on Pixel devices. Health Connect allows apps to share health data with each other and gives you the ability to control each app’s access to that data.
