You can colorize app icon notification icons with Mugunghwa even without jailbreak
While many continue to wait for iOS and iPadOS 15 jailbreaks to arrive, the good news is that TrollStore can offer a temporary haven in the form of customized and modified apps. In fact, a new TrollStore-enabled app called Mugunghwa by iOS developer Soongyu Kwon lets you change app icon notification icon colors even without jailbreaking.
After downloading and permanently signing the Mugunghwa app with TrollStore, you can open it from the main screen and start playing with the options inside:
From the app’s Home tab, which is the first thing you’ll see after starting Mugunghwa, you can:
- Check for updates for the Mugunghwa app
- Respring your device
You can also go to the Utilities tab to adjust some of the aesthetic options specific to your device, including:
- Customize app icon notification icon colors
- Make non-notch devices have the same home screen layout as notched devices
- Theme for passcode buttons using images from your photo library
When you go to customize app icon notification icon colors, you will be presented with a color picker interface similar to the following:
As you can see, the interface is pretty solid and offers options for choosing preset colors, moving your finger across the color spectrum, or working with RGB sliders, depending on your preference.
After choosing a color, you can use the Apply button on the Utilities tab to restore your device and save any changes you have made.
Mugunghwa is available on the GitHub developer page as a file. ipa which you can download and sign using TrollStore. It should work on all iOS devices and iPadOS 14.0-15.1.1 as these firmware versions are currently supported by TrollStore.
