Nubia Red Magic 7 gaming smartphone launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 165Hz display: price, specifications

Nubia has launched its new gaming smartphones in China. The company has released two gaming smartphones: Nubia Red Magic 7 and 7 Pro. New gaming smartphones are already available for purchase in China. Nubia has unveiled a new Red Core 1 chipset paired with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The new dedicated chip is exclusive to the Pro model only.

Both smartphones are equipped with a triple camera on the back. Gaming smartphones are equipped with a display with a high refresh rate. Nubia Red Magic 7 Series Price

Nubia has launched Red Magic 7 in 8GB + 128GB base version. This storage option costs 3,999 yuan. The device also comes with 12GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB storage options, priced at 4399 Yuan and 4799 Yuan.

The company also launched a special transparent version with 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB storage options, priced at 4899 yuan and 5499 yuan.

The Red Magic 7 Pro comes with three storage options – 12GB + 128GB, 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB. The three storage options cost 4,799 yuan, 5,199 yuan, and 5,599 yuan.

Like the vanilla model, the Pro model is also available in transparent color options. The device has four transparent storage options – 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, 18GB + 512GB and 18GB + 1TB. They cost 5299 yuan, 5699 yuan, 6499 yuan and 7499 yuan.

Specifications and features

Both devices have many key characteristics in common. The devices feature a 6.8-inch Full HD+ OLED display. Both models support 165Hz refresh rates. They are also powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The gaming phones are also equipped with a triple camera on the back. There is a 64MP main camera sensor, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. There is a 16MP front camera for selfies. This front camera is located below the display on the Pro model.

The base model received a 4500 mAh battery with support for 120 W fast charging. The Pro model has a large 5,000mAh battery with support for 135W fast charging. Nubia packed a 165W GAN charger in the box.

The Pro model also gets a custom Red Core 1 chipset designed to improve gameplay and sound. The phone also has shoulder triggers. Both devices are equipped with an ICE 8.0 cooling system with an RGB fan that rotates at 20,000 rpm. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and more. The devices run Red Magic UI based on Android 12 out of the box.
