Along with the Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro, Xiaomi also launched the Redmi K40s phone in the Chinese market. The phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and a 4500 mAh battery. The latest device of the Redmi K40 series boasts a 6.67-inch Full HD+E4 AMOLED display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. It supports a 50,00,000:1 contrast ratio, 1300 nits peak brightness, and is HDR10+ and Dolby Vision certified. The display panel has a center cutout and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Under the hood, it has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, manufactured using a 7nm process technology. The system-on-a-chip includes an integrated Adreno 650 GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS3.1 storage. It downloads MIUI 13 out of the box.

The phone offers a triple rear camera and LED flash. The main camera includes a 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor with f/1.79 aperture and OIS. Complementing it is an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens with a 119° field of view. The smartphone also has a 2MP macro lens. For selfies and video calls, it offers a 20-megapixel camera.

The K40s is equipped with a 4500mAh battery and supports 67W fast charging. It has a Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options include 5G, dual SIM, WiFi 6 (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, Galileo, Beidou, and Glonass.

Redmi K40s comes in four color options: black, grey, blue and green. Its dimensions are 163.2 × 75.95 × 7.7 mm and it weighs 195 grams.
