Samsung held a Galaxy A series news event where the company announced two new smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G was unveiled at the event along with the Galaxy A33 5G. Both 5G smartphones come with upgrades to the display, performance unit, and camera hardware. Devices coming soon. Samsung will announce pricing and availability details soon.

Samsung Galaxy A33 5G, A53 5G Price

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G at the Galaxy Awesome event, which was hosted virtually for global markets. The Galaxy A33 5G comes with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. Its starting price is £329.

The Galaxy A53 5G also comes with 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage options. Its starting price is £399.

Specifications and features

Starting with the A33 5G, the phone features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate support. It comes with a cutout in the top center for a 13MP front camera. There is a quad camera on the back of the phone. It has a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.

The phone is powered by Exynos 1280 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM. In addition to the 256GB onboard storage, users can expand the storage up to 1TB using a microSD card. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. The charger is not included in the box.

The phone runs OneUI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box. It has an IP67 waterproof rating. The device weighs 186 grams and has a thickness of 8.1 mm.

The Galaxy A53 5G features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate support. In the upper central part there is a cutout for the front camera of 32 megapixels. The phone has quad cameras with a 64MP main camera that supports OIS. It also has a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. The rest of the specifications are the same as the Galaxy A33 5G.
