Vivo S12, S12 Pro Launched With Up To 1200 SoC And 108MP Triple Camera: Price, Specs

Vivo has launched Vivo S12 series devices in the domestic market. The Vivo S12 series consists of two devices – Vivo S12 and Vivo S12 Pro. The S12 series phones are powered by MediaTek Dimensity processors and have up to 12GB of RAM. Both of these devices offer 108MP triple rear cameras and dual front cameras. Let’s take a closer look at the price, specs and features of Vivo S12 and Vivo S12 Pro.

Vivo S12 and Vivo S12 Pro price

The S12 Pro comes in two configurations – 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. The Vanilla S12 also only comes in these two configurations. The price is as follows:

• S12 12 GB + 256 GB – 2999 yuan
• S12 Pro 8GB + 128GB – 3399 yuan
• S12 12 GB + 256 GB – 3699 yuan

Vivo S12 Pro Features and Specs

The S12 Pro sports a 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2376×1080 pixels, a 19.8:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display can go up to 1300 nits and is also HDR10+ certified.

The S12 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 octa-core processor built using a 6nm process technology. Graphic functions on the device are performed by the Mali G77 GPU. It has up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device comes preloaded with Android 11 operating system with OriginOS Ocean proprietary operating system.

Moving on to the cameras, the device offers a triple rear camera setup with LED flash. The 108MP main sensor on the device is accompanied by an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens with a 119° field of view and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front is a 50 MP front camera for selfies and video calls. There’s also an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens with a 105° field of view and dual-tone flash on the front.

The S12 Pro is equipped with a 4300mAh battery and 44W fast charging. It has a Type-C charging port and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It lacks a 3.5mm audio jack, so audio is also output via the Type-C port. The phone measures 159.46 x 73.27 x 7.36mm and weighs 171 grams. Connectivity options include Dual SIM, 5G, 4G, VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 6 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GPS. Available in gold, black and blue color options.

The Vanilla S12 comes with a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate. The display is also HDR10+ certified. Under the hood, it is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1100 processor, created using a 6nm process technology. The phone also has a Mali G77 GPU, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It boots Android 11 with the OriginOS Ocean skin.

In terms of optics, the vanilla S12 offers a triple rear camera and LED flash. The 108MP main sensor on the smartphone is paired with an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens with a 105° field of view and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front of the device there is a double arrow with a two-color flash. The main shooter is a 44MP sensor, which will be accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens.

The S12 is powered by a 4200mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging. It has a Type-C charging port and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Similar to the Pro variant, the vanilla S12 also lacks the 3.5mm audio jack. The phone measures 157.20 x 72.67 x 7.39mm and weighs 179 grams.
