Set in the 40,000 universe, Warhammer 40k Darktide is the latest first-person action video game from Fatshark. If you’ve played Left 4 Dead, you’ll find some striking similarities between the two co-op shooters. Like the Witches in L4D, Darktide has a terrifying Demonhost. As their name suggests, they are hosts possessed by the power of Chaos into human flesh. But having said that, surviving their ambush will not be a cakewalk. How to defeat Daemonhost in Warhammer 40K Darktide

The Demonhost can spawn multiple times per level in WH 40k Darktide. So be careful with them all the time. Here are some tips for discovering and defeating Daemonhost:

• You will hear whispers in your head when the Demonhost is nearby. When you hear the whispers, you will also notice thick fog and a white glow around them.
• You must keep a safe distance from them to avoid a direct hit.
• Once you or your teammates have spotted Daemonhost, you need to start coordinating them to decide on a decisive strategy.

• They have the Relentless stat, which means that these monsters cannot be stunned.
• You can equip the Ogryn Slab shield for aggression and use the special Defensive Stance block to avoid a direct hit.
• You can also use Power Maul for close combat with Daemonhost.
• The main key to survival is to be fast enough to dodge with powerful psykers and veterans on your team.
• Psykers and Veterans are the classes that can deal the most damage to them. But if you’re a fanatic, feel free to melee them and run out of the way.
• For offensive tactics, we recommend using psykers’ Brain Bursting ability to damage them.
• The Demonhost can also deal damage to you, which slowly spreads to you.
• After the Outcast is killed, they use telekinesis to choke and kill him.
• Multiple high damage weapons buff nearby enemies to maximize damage. Be sure to use this weapon to your advantage.
• If you’re against the odds and low numbers, we suggest escaping to outlive the boss.

How to avoid Daemonhost

• As mentioned earlier, you will hear whispers and thick fog as they get closer. You can also find various Poxwalkers worshiping them.
• You can choose a different route as soon as you notice any of these things.
• These hosts attack when any player is close to them. They disappear after they have destroyed half, and sometimes more than half, of your teammates.
• If you are at a distance and unharmed, look for a way out instead of attacking them.
• Once they deal damage, they teleport out of your path. While there is no guarantee they will reappear, you may be safe for the time being.

After you destroy and defeat the Demonhost, you will earn the “Repentance”achievement in Warhammer 40,000 Darktide.
