WhatsApp may soon increase the file limit to 2 GB

WhatsApp will check the file size limit of 2GB vs 100MB currently.

WhatsApp is reportedly testing a 2GB file size limit

Indeed, according to a WABetaInfo report, it seems that WhatsApp is currently testing the ability to send files up to 2 GB in weight. Anyway, this is what some users in Argentina have discovered. They were able to see the presence of a message informing them that the file size limit is now 2 GB.

The company has been criticized several times in the past for its rather aggressive way of managing photo compression, which means that the photos sent are very, very compressed, which sometimes makes it very difficult to use them on a medium other than a smartphone, or even impossible. The fact that it now allows you to send larger files is synonymous with lower compression and therefore better image quality.
