With virtually any image on your iPhone, create unique WhatsApp Stickers for your chats.
The iPhone version of WhatsApp now has a new sticker-making feature that enables you to design personalized stickers right in chats using your own photographs, doing away with the requirement for outside apps.
The brand-new sticker creator is compatible with WhatsApp Chat versions 23.3.77 and up and originally surfaced in late February. Moreover, your iPhone must be running iOS 16.0 or a later version. WhatsApp makes advantage of the new topic cutout tool introduced in iOS 16 to separate the subject from the backdrop of an image or video.
Except for the iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus, it works with any iPhone running iOS 16. These three models are excluded because the subject cutout tool requires an A12 Bionic chip or a more recent version.
There are two methods for creating unique WhatsApp stickers from photographs. Whatever you want, they both begin in the Pictures app. Nevertheless, you can also open an image in screenshots, Files, Messages, Safari, and other apps that support Quick Look. It can be practically any file type, including PNG, JPG, RAW, Live Photographs, and movies. There are countless images that can be turned into stickers.
Method 1: Drag and Drop to Your Chat
Open the picture or video frame you want to transform into a sticker in Photos or another app that supports the feature. After that, long-press the image’s or video’s topic to isolate it from the background. Holding the cutout still, swipe with another finger to open your WhatsApp chat, where you may then drop the piece of paper. You will automatically see the image as a sticker and be given the option to “Submit” or “Cancel.”
Method 2: Copy and Paste into Your Chat
Open the picture or video frame you want to transform into a sticker in Photos or another app that supports the feature. After that, long-press the image’s or video’s topic to isolate it from the background. Let go to display the contextual menu with “Copy” and “Share” options rather than dragging it. Go to your WhatsApp chat, select “Paste” from the contextual menu that appears when you tap the text area twice. You will automatically see the image as a sticker and be given the option to “Submit” or “Cancel.”
