WWE 2K22 is now available: game modes, post-launch content, details

The latest game in the WWE 2K franchise is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC (Steam). The game was originally supposed to release towards the end of 2021, but was pushed back to March 2022 instead.

The game features a range of new game modes, including the returning MyGM mode, which has been a fan favorite in the past. As has become a staple of WWE 2K gaming, this year’s showcase features Rey Mysterio, who is celebrating his 20th year as a WWE Superstar.

The showcase features iconic moments from the legendary wrestler’s career, including some of his most famous matches. Players will also be able to watch documentary interviews with Rey. The blending of gameplay and live performances is the new “Slingshot Tech”which ensures a smooth transition.

The Standard Edition of the game is currently available for INR 3299 on latest generation consoles and PC. The current generation console version (PS5/Xbox Series X/S) is priced at INR 4399. The Cross-Gen Bundle is available for INR 4799 and includes the Digital Standard Edition and the previous and current generation Starrcade ’96 Rey Mysterio Pack on the same PlayStation and Xbox console.

WWE 2K22 Game Modes and Post-Launch Content

MyGM

MyGM was a fan favorite game mode that has made a comeback and is one of the most anticipated game modes in 2K22. This mode allows players to manage their own weekly show, manage bookings, sign free agents, make a roster, and more.

Players will be able to create their own GM or choose from 5 GMs including Stephanie McMahon.

My faction

A brand new single-player classic team building mode where players collect, manage and upgrade an array of WWE Superstars and Legends to create their ultimate four-man faction.

MyRise

For now, MyRise is the mainstay of the 2K franchise. It’s sort of a career mode where players start out as a humble rookie and aim to climb the WWE ladder and reach Hall of Fame status. This time, unique storylines for men and women are available, in which players will meet a variety of WWE superstars and legends as they embark on a journey.

Creativity set:

One of the most loved aspects of WWE 2K games is the fantastic Creation Suite. In addition to the Suite, there’s also a featured creator section that highlights players and their content, voting to create a community, a superstar creation wizard for faster creation, and more.

Post-Launch Content Roadmap

The game will receive a significant amount of post-launch content with 5 content packs confirmed for the next few months. These packages will be available for individual purchase. The Season Pass will give players access to the full set of sets, as will the Deluxe Edition and nWo 4-Life Digital Edition.

The soundtrack was produced by rapper-turned-pop-rock artist Machine Gun Kelly as the soundtrack’s executive producer. Logan Paul joins the fight as one of the characters available for selection later in the game.

Additional post-launch playable characters include Ronda Rousey, Doink the Clown, L.A. Knight, Mr. T, Rob Van Dam, Stacy Keibler, Cactus Jack, British Bulldog, Umaga, Yokozuna, and Doodrop.
