Xiaomi 12 confirmed to ship with MIUI 13 out of the box
Xiaomi 12 along with 12X and 12 Pro are the most anticipated smartphones right now at the end of this year. The phones will go on sale in China on December 28, but details about the phones have surfaced online for some time now, including renders, specs, and more.
The Xiaomi 12 could be a compact flagship phone from the company with a 6.28-inch display with a punch-hole camera at the top. Popular analyst Abhishek Yadav revealed that the phone will also ship with the latest MIUI 13 out of the box. MIUI 13, the latest custom skin from Xiaomi, is due to be unveiled alongside Xiaomi 12.
MIUI 13 Features
MIUI 13 is the next big incremental update to Xiaomi’s own skin over Android and the update is expected to focus heavily on smoothness and fluidity. According to the latest information available right now, MIUI 13 will deliver a 15% to 52% system performance boost. Xiaomi is also aiming to reduce frame loss by 90% with MIUI 13, and also brings Focus Computing 2.0, liquid storage, and atomic memory to offer faster read and write speeds. Privacy Security Goalkeeper is another new feature coming with MIUI 13. It will protect users from telecom scams.
What are users expecting?
Interestingly, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun conducted a survey on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo asking users what features they want in MIUI 13, and most users seem to emphasize the fact that the new MIUI 13 should be bug-free. Xiaomi phones and their earlier MIUI versions have always been ridiculed for random bugs and it seems like users want Xiaomi to improve their software to the highest possible level.
