YouTube allows more content creators to add multiple audio tracks to their videos
YouTube is expanding testing of its multilingual tool for content creators. Audio duplication should grow rapidly across the platform.
YouTubers around the world will soon be able to find more videos in their own language. The Google platform has just introduced a new feature offering creators the ability to add multiple audio tracks to their videos, including existing ones. YouTube has already been testing this option with a small number of creators since last year. It would seem that the results are good enough to cover several thousand creators.
YouTube expands testing of its multilingual tool for content creators
The site presents this novelty as a tool that creators can use to increase their audience around the world. Over the past month, early testers have uploaded 3,500 videos in over 40 languages, totaling over 2 million hours of these dubbed videos viewed each day in January. Creators who were able to test this feature also found that about 15% of their viewing time was from users who were watching in another language.
One of the most popular creators to test this YouTube multilingual tool is none other than MrBeast, who has over 130 million subscribers worldwide. MrBeast manages many channels in 11 different languages, but he said in an interview that it would be much easier to manage just one daily. It’s also very helpful to know that anyone who clicks on a link provided by a third party who speaks a different language will be able to understand the content just by changing the sound.
Dubbed audio should multiply quickly on the platform
After changing the audio to your preferred language for the very first time, the site will make it the default language whenever you watch a dubbed video. Users will also be able to search for duplicate content in their language, even if the main language is different, with titles and descriptions translated. YouTube didn’t elaborate on how it chose the creators who have access to the feature today, or when this new feature will be available to everyone. All!
