Vivo has launched a new Y-series smartphone. The company launched the Vivo Y55 4G in Vietnam as its new mid-range smartphone. Y55 may appear later this year in other markets. Vivo hasn’t confirmed any details about this.
Vivo Y55 is powered by Snapdragon chipset. The body of the phone is made of polycarbonate with a plastic frame. There is also a dual camera on the back. Vivo has launched the phone in two colors. Let’s take a look at the Vivo Y55 4G price, specifications and other details.

Vivo launched Y55 4G in Vietnam. The smartphone comes in one 8GB + 128GB storage option and two colors. The cost of the device is 6,990,000 VND (approximately $300). Available in two colors – Black Star and Snow White.

The Y55 4G features a 6.44-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The AMOLED display has a touch sampling rate of 180Hz and supports the DCI-P3 color gamut. It has a waterdrop notch at the top for the front camera and a thick bezel on the chin.
On the back panel is a rectangular camera module. The phone has a dual camera setup with a 50 megapixel main camera. There is also a 2 MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the Y55 4G is equipped with a 16-megapixel front camera.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 680 SoC. It comes with 8 GB of RAM and support for 4 GB of virtual memory, which is drawn from 128 GB of internal memory. There is support for memory expansion via the microSD card slot.
The device has a 5000 mAh battery. It supports 44W fast charging out of the box. In terms of software, the phone runs Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box. The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock. It also supports dual SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and more. The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. It weighs 182 grams and is 8.42mm thick.
