Iqoo Z6 Pro 5G launch date announced
Iqoo Z6 Pro 5G will debut as a new 5G smartphone on April 27th. The cost of the device can be around $328 for the base model. Ahead of the launch, the teaser invitation confirms some key details of the upcoming Iqoo smartphone. For starters, the phone will debut in two colors – blue and black.
The back panel can be supplied with a polycarbonate shell. It has a rectangular camera module with two large circular cutouts. The bottom round notch houses two sensors, which could be an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro camera. Iqoo will release a phone with a 64-megapixel main camera sensor. We don’t know much about the brand or type of sensor at this time. The LED flash is located next to the camera sensors.
Under the hood, the phone is confirmed to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. Yes, it’s the same SoC as the iQOO Z5 5G that launched late last year. The phone will also have up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB or maybe even 256GB of internal storage.
A number of other details have also been confirmed. There is support for 66W fast charging, which is a significant improvement over the Z5 5G’s 44W fast charging. Iqoo claims that the phone charges from zero to 100 percent in about 40 minutes.
We don’t know the exact screen size yet. Iqoo has confirmed that the device will feature an AMOLED display, which is the first in the Z series. It will come with 90Hz refresh rate support. In addition, the panel will also have a peak brightness of 1300 nits.
There is no 3.5mm headphone jack, which is a bummer. You’ll need to rely on a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm dongle for wired audio sessions. More details about the phone should appear online in the coming days. In the meantime, let us know what you think of the new Iqoo smartphone coming out later this month.
