Redmi is gearing up to launch the K50 series in China. At the end of this month, the company will introduce its flagship series in China. As part of the flagship series, the Xiaomi sub-brand is expected to release at least four new smartphones. These include Redmi K50, K50 Pro, Pro+ and Gaming Edition.

Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing announced the launch of the K50 series later this month. The launch event could take place until February 25th. A separate leak also revealed pricing information for four Redmi smartphones. Let’s take a look at the price, specifications and other details of the Redmi K50 series known so far.

According to teasers posted on Weibo by Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing, the Redmi K50 series will debut in China later this month. The exact launch date remains unknown, but we can expect the devices to be unveiled in China before February 25th.

Details about Redmi’s flagship smartphones have already appeared online. A new leak from whistleblower Sam (@Shadow_leak on Twitter) claims pricing information for four models has been leaked. The base K50 will cost 1999 yuan. The Snapdragon 870 SoC is said to be under the hood. The phone is rumored to support 67W fast charging out of the box.

The K50 Pro will feature the Dimensity 8000 single-chip system, which has yet to be officially announced. Oddly enough, this variant supports slightly slower 66W fast charging. According to the source, it will cost 2,699 yuan.

Redmi K50 Pro+ will ship with Dimensity 9000 SoC and support 120W fast charging out of the box. The phone is said to be priced at 3299 yuan for the base variant. Finally, the K50 Gaming Edition will be priced at 3499 yuan. It will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and support 120W fast charging. This variant is expected to launch first, while the K50 Pro+ with Dimensity 9000 will launch later this year.

The four Redmi smartphones feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Gaming Edition model will be equipped with a 4700 mAh battery. All four models can have triple rear cameras. Redmi smartphones will boot MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box.
