Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 launch follows announcements from Realme, Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus for phones with new chipset
Qualcomm has announced its new flagship Snapdragon mobile SoC called Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The new chipset is based on 4nm architecture and features a tri-cluster design. It has one main Cortex X2 core clocked at 3.0GHz and three performance cores clocked at 2.85GHz. The four efficiency cores are clocked at 1.8GHz. Qualcomm claims that the new Snapdragon chip is equipped with a 20 percent faster processor and 30 percent faster GPU, while offering 30 percent higher efficiency. After the launch, several companies have confirmed the launch of smartphones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Here is a list of all the companies that have confirmed the launch of devices with the new Snapdragon chip.
Smartphones launch with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
Qualcomm has confirmed in a press release that several brands are working with the chipmaker to launch smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. These include Black Shark, Honor, iQOO, Motorola, Nubia, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Redmi, Sharp, Sony Corporation, Vivo, Xiaomi and ZTE. Several companies have made themselves known and also confirmed more details about their devices ahead of the launch.
Motorola
Motorola is one of the first smartphone companies to launch a Snapdragon 888 series successor device. The company has been confirmed to launch the Moto Edge X30 in China on December 9th. Realme
Realme has confirmed that the GT 2 Pro, the company’s most premium smartphone, will launch with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The company also confirmed that the device will launch in December. Xiaomi
Xiaomi is usually one of the first smartphone brands to launch devices with the latest Qualcomm chipset. The company has confirmed that the Xiaomi 12 series will launch with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip under the hood. The company has not disclosed a launch date. However, it has been said that this series will be one of the first to release this chip. Rumor has it that the devices will debut in China on December 28th.
One Plus

Oppo
