Zebra 2 will completely overhaul the popular package manager with user-friendly formatting, search functionality and an iPadOS overhaul.

Right after the Odyssey Team’s announcement showing off the upcoming Cheyote jailbreak tool UI for iOS and iPadOS 15.0-15.1.1, Zebra made another major announcement that will be pushing the overhaul of the popular alternative. package management application for Zebra in the near future.

Dubbed Zebra 2, this advanced package management application will be completely redesigned from the ground up, with the main initiative being to shorten the features page layout to make navigation easier and more user-friendly.

This enhanced iteration of Zebra’s package manager will also bring many improvements to the iPad, meaning it will take full advantage of the new sidebar format seen in several modern iPad apps. With this aesthetic change, Zebra 2 will feel more like a native app rather than something installed from a third party source.

Zebra 2 is currently not available to the general public as development continues, however iDownloadBlog has been informed that many of these new features will be implemented in small beta updates leading up to the official release of Zebra 2 which will include some of these features.

The goal of this phased feature release is to continually improve the aforementioned features until the Zebra team completes them, as well as give users a chance to play in the meantime instead of waiting for one major release.

The Zebra 2 is expected to be fully compatible with Odyssey Team’s forthcoming Cheyote no-root jailbreak tool for iOS and iPadOS 15.0-15.1.1, which is a plus given the major changes to the no-root jailbreak dynamic that will require many jailbreak settings to be updated or recreated for his support.

iDB will continue to monitor changes to the Zebra Team release schedule to keep our readers updated on everything that comes next.
